Liberal Zombie Fan No Longer My Friend
 
I spotted this on another board and it cracked me up.

Figured some of you here were worthy so here it is.

I went to Barnes & Noble today to browse, got a few things, and was checking out. Cashier was a goth looking guy with multiple piercings. I put my stuff on the counter and the first book was "The Zombie Survival Guide" by Max Brooks.

Me: "Not yet! I'm going to get it though, I heard it was good!"
Cashier: "It is! Do you like Zombie Apocalypse stories?"
Me: "You bet!"
Cashier: "After World War Z you should read <can't remember what he recommended> it's really great, you'd love it!"
Me: "Thanks, I'll look into it"
Cashier: "OHH! Do you play Resident Evil?"
Me: "I've heard of it, but don't really get to play video games"
Cashier: "Well, you should! It's great!"

Next in my stack- Shotgun News mag and Guns&Ammo mag-

Cashier: "Oh....Guns...."
Me: "Well, those zombies aren't going to kill themselves you know!"
Cashier: "uh huh...."

Last in my stack was this book:

Well, he picked it up holding it like it was a bag of dog shit! Literally squinting one eye at it.

Funny stuff!

If you'd had put just a little thought into the relationship, you'd have reversed the order of your stacking. That way, you'd have left with the shared zombie love intact and ready to blossom, instead of crushing it like a helpless ant.... :bear_wub:

Actually, that cashier is already a zombie, from the neck up. These people are so inured with the artificial existence they habitate that they will fight you tooth and nail not to give it up and not to have you threaten it.

It doesn't necessarily mean he was a liberal, maybe he's just aware of the fact that Jonah Goldberg is a neo-con and closer to being a fascist than most liberals?

Reminds me of some recently lost friends.
These friends were another couple my wife and I spent a great deal of quality time with.
Hiking, Kayaking, Cooking, Drinking, Shooting, Clubbing.
Really, we had some great times.
Too bad they are REAL zombies. One night, while visiting the city of Asheville and talking over some beer we revisited a topic that we always touched on but never fully entered into: Obama and the 2nd Amendment.
We have not seen nor heard from them in over 9 weeks since.
Things did not get heated or ugly but they just could not deal with shattered delusions.
BudFox called it over a year ago when the election was heating up and I mentioned my friends were voting for him.

But talking about it and being it.....that's two different things.
